What is JavaScript?
I'm a recent graduate with a degree in Mechanical Engineering but I have a passion for web development. I have hands on in ReactJS and I have experience building responsive, user-friendly web applications using this framework. I gained hands-on experience in web development through several projects . I'm proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and I have experience working with various front-end technologies such as ReactJS, Redux, and Bootstrap. I'm also familiar with back-end development such as Node.js and Express.js.

Javascript is a lightweight and interpreted language meaning it does need to be compiled before running and can be executed directly by a web browser. It is a client-side language meaning it runs on a user's computer rather than a server and it is often used to add interactivity and dynamic behavior. it can also run on the server side with the help of Nodejs.
a Javascript key feature is its ability to manipulate the DOM (Document Object Model)which is a hierarchical structure of HTML and XML documents. Javascript can be used to change the style, content and behavior of HTML elements dynamically, making web pages more interactive and responsive.
Javascript can be used for a wide range of applications such as complex single-page applications and developing mobile and desktop applications.
Javascript has a large and active community of developers due which is more popular nowadays. javascript has popular frameworks(Reactjs, vuejs and Angularjs) and libraries (jquery) that speed up development time and improve code quality.
